THE GALLERY

MANCASPAZIO is located just steps away from what was, until the 1990s, Nuoro’s most significant art gallery: Chironi88, founded by Sandra Piras, a pivotal figure in the island’s artistic scene. With her exhibitions, she paved the way for visual avant-garde in Sardinia.

Following the thread and teachings of Chironi88, MANCASPAZIO was created to discover or rediscover contemporary artists while keeping an open dialogue with established ones. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore previously unseen works of particular interest.

Each exhibition at MANCASPAZIO will be accompanied by a bilingual catalog, illustrated with photographs by Nelly Dietzel, graphically designed by Sara Manca, and featuring texts by Chiara Manca, translated by Shahrazad Hassan.
